Help - Time needed for connecting flight

Hi everybody,

I'll be traveling to New Orleans (NADA Convention, 1st time to USA too!!) in Jan and for my flight home to Singapore, I was offered the following flights by United Airlines.

UA 3617 New Orleans - Washington 08:10 - 11:34 (Operated by GOGET Airlines)

UA 803 Washington - Singapore 12:20 - 00:45.

As you can see, the connecting flight to UA 803 is only 46 min. My question: Is there enough time to make it between the 2 connecting flights?

Thanks in advance for your help!

That is too short. Since it is all on United, they might take care of you if you missed the connection. But I would not take the risk. You may have to change terminals and it's a long ways from the end of Terminal D to the end of Terminal C, and they are connected. Or maybe the train thing from Terminal A to Terminal C. That 46 minutes includes the time it takes to empty the plane you are flying in on. Too short.

Since you are not a US citizen, I suppose, you may have to do some sort of Immigration check too. I don't know how that works on a connecting flight. Or if it is even required.

Hi Darrell6t,

Appreciate your prompt reply! Will probably switch to another option but I will cost me additional USD2k. Oh well, better than missing flight.

If that is $2,000 USD then I wouldn't change. Yours is a legal connection, the airline will re-book you if missed. You can make it probably 8 or 9 out of 10 times but you won't have time to dally. You'll need to go straight from gate to gate.
