Where to stay?

Does anyone know how close the JW Marriott is to the W hotel?

Looking to stay 2 nights but can't seem to know which to choose. We like the party scene that the W seems to have but the JW seems larger and more airy and colorful. Can we walk to W if we stay at the JW?

An online map will show you the exact distance. If that distance is walkable for you, then you can walk.

Exactly one block from the W Washinton to the JW Marriott. They are on adjacent blocks with the Willard Intercontinetal between them.

The JW lobby is airy, but the guest rooms aren't exactly colorful - fairly standard neutral Marriott palette. If you want a lively party scene, that is the W. Club music in the lobby, staff is young and pretty, and lots of people going in and out. The JW is more reserved, and doesn't have much of a lobby scene. That's said, there are major renovations happening at the W this summer, including the following from their website: POV Rooftop Lounge and Terrace will be closed beginning July 26 to August 16.
