Bike Tour or Walking Tour

It's our first time visiting Washington DC and we are very excited about this. I was just wondering if taking one of the many tours available is worth while. I quite like the idea of taking the evening bike tour from Bike and Roll DC, but would a walking tour be better. We want to get as much out of the city as we can as I wondering which was best to do.

Any information is gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I have never done either, but obviously you can see a lot more places on a bicycle, especially if they have transmitters and headphones for all the riders as they do with the Segway tours. Are you all comfortable bicycling around? Know that the bicycles are not racing bicycles so it's probably a very pleasant tour.

The whole National Mall is 2.5 miles wide, easier to visit on a bicycle than in separate tours.
