Point Beach State Park

Is Point beach state park worth seeing? Mother & I (60 & 80years) will be making our first trip to WI. We will be traveling from Milwaukee to Door County and staying 4 days. Thanks.

Point Beach is a nice park with a long, quiet beach-- I used to camp there with my family when I was a kid. You'd have a nice walk along the beach, but I would say that if you're going to be in Door County, you'll still get a feel for the views and setting of Lake Michigan without having to visit the park. It could be a nice place to do a picnic lunch on the beach, if you're up for it.

Yes, there's a beautiful lighthouse and a long sand beach, and in summer, you can buy lunch at a stone park building right on the beach. There's a short nature trail, too.
