Snow shoe trails within an hour drive of Lake Geneva

Anyone know of some interesting snow shoe trails along rivers or interesting topography that are within an hour's drive of the Lake Geneva area. I am looking for trails that are no longer than 6-mile loops or 3-miles in and back. We have done trails in the south Kettle Moraine and near Eagle, so I am looking for something different. I have heard that there are trails at the Kohler-Andrae State Park that are good. Has anyone snow shoed there?

You could try Richard Bong State Recreation Area near Burlington and the Loew Lake and Pike Lake units of Kettle Moraine State Forest near Hartford. They're on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, which always is a good bet for snowshoeing.

Snowshoes are perfect for checking out state natural areas. There are eight in Walworth County, including Lulu Lake and Beulah Bog near Troy Center, and nine in Jefferson County. Check out the list at …state.wi.us/org/land/er/sna/bycountylist.htm

I'm sure snowshoeing at Kohler-Andrae is nice, but it's probably pretty windy/cold, being right on Lake Michigan.
