Southwest Wisc. canoe trip

Hello everyone,

I am planning a camping trip somewhere in SW Wisc this fall (first weekend in October) and was hoping to get some thoughts on the best (most scenic) canoe day trip in the area.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

It's hard to beat the Kickapoo, midwestweekends.com/plan_a_trip/outdoors_rec…

There's primitive camping in the Kickapoo Valley Reserve, which is holding its Dam Challenge Triathlon the first Saturday in October, if that interests you, kvr.state.wi.us/category.asp…

There's also camping at Wildcat Mountain State Park, which is the take-out point for the most common canoe run from Ontario.
