Rental with close tavern/bar?

I'm looking for a place in WI(Central or Northern) that will sleep around 10 guys. Preferably, it would be a decent place with some room to play cards and we can sit around. Also, it would be nice to be on a lake and within walking distance of a bar/tavern. Any suggestions?

Hi, there is a best western hotel just north of tomahawk, wi... they have a I believe 5 bedroom room you can rent that has a large living area.. Hazelhurst area, it is on a lake and there is a bar right down the road. We have stayed there before, very nice... www.bestwesternwisconsin.com/tomahawk-hotels/

Check out the Norseman in Iola. It's a small quaint clean hotel on lake Iola. The owners are awesome. And it's walking distance to three taverns and restaurants. Definitely a favorite guy getaway for us.

Another option would be to look in Wisconsin Dells, as there are many, many hotel options with villa-style accommodations. This way you would have multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, living room area, etc. When looking to fit 10 guys, having all that space would be nice. My friends and I often travel to the Dells from Milwaukee and rent a villa at the Wilderness Lodge, the price is not crazy and there are many entertainment options (bars/restaurants as well as lakes, pools, etc.) nearby. They also have a shuttle to the casino (Hochunk) for free.

For similar resort type villas near water and entertainment options you could look in Lake Geneva or Door County.

Check out the cabin/resort properties in the Eagle River/Minoqua area. A place on the chain of lakes would be fun, rent a pontoon boat and go explore. while not a cabin/resort place, I have stayed at the Wild Eagle in Eagle River, condos on a lake, bar on-site, nice place.

http://www.barnagainlodge.com/ This is in Buffalo County. It may not be close to bars/tavern or a lake but it sure looked neat enough to share. I haven't perused it enough to know the local details and how close you are to anything but it looks like a neat spot (unique). The pictures are worth checking out if nothing else. This is just south of Eau Claire and 7 miles south of Mondovi, that much I looked up now. Anyway perhaps for curiosity or future reference if it better serves your needs at some point--at least size wise it does.

I recommend Hayes Resort on Fox Lake, WI in Dodge county, south central WI. www.hayesresort.com. There is a very nice bar and grill as well as cottages that can sleep up to 20. Fox Lake is the best fishng around.
