Disneyland vs. California Adventure

We will be at Disneyland for only 2 days. Does anybody have any ideas about Disneyland vs. California Adventure -- one day each or both at Disneyland? We are taking our 3 yo. and 5 yo. there in March. Is one (or both) more geared toward the little ones?

I think 2 day tickets are hoppers so you will be able to go to both fwith no extra charge. Disneyland has more for that age, cal adventure has the bugs life area, also Ariels Grotto in cal adventure is the best place for a character meal.

I would start both days at Disneyland, starting with Fantasyland and Toontown, plus the Jedi Traning Academy and the Princess Fantasy Faire areas.

DCA opens later, and I would go see the Playhouse Disney show on the second day, and stop by Flik's Fun Fair.

But focus on DIsneyland, and just head over to DCA when you finish DIsneyland.

On our first visit to DL, we only had 2 days too. We spent the first day entirely at DL, and on the second day we went to DL first, and headed to DCA at about 4:00 pm. It worked out well for us, we were able to see a great deal of DCA by 9:00 pm. Then we headed back to DL to watch the fireworks a second time.

Have fun!

Disneyland is more geared to 3 yaer old and 5 year old.

Height limitations will mean one cannot go on the best rides in Califronia Adventure. It will be more enjoyable when they're a bit older. Disneyland will have the most rides and attractions to enjoy for the younger age children.

Like one of the previous posters said, do go to Playhouse Disney at California Adventure! We were there last year and our 4 year old absolutely LOVED it! He still talks about it to this day. Of course he saw the show at least four times!
