>>Lisa Specht had unusual requirements for her wedding dress: She needed something that would fit on a roller coaster.
As their first act as husband and wife today, Specht and her new husband, David Michael Klawe, rode on the Silver Bullet roller coaster at Knott’s Berry Farm less than an hour after their wedding at the amusement park.
It was a fitting activity for the theme-park fans. They met five years ago today at Disneyland. Their first roller coaster ride was on the Silver Bullet. And Klawe proposed during the fourth-anniversary celebration for a theme-park Web site for which Klawe writes. The couple made its announcement to friends at Disneyland.
Also during their courtship, the couple rode 11 roller coasters at 11 locations in 11 hours in 2006.
“Theme parks are a huge part of our lives,” said Specht, 46. “It seemed right for us.”<<
