Las Vegas

We'll be flying into LA and depart from San Francisco.

Can we drive to Las Vegas? or is it a must to take internal flight? And, should I include this after LA or before San Francisco?

Any advise would be great as I'm nuts as to where each of this places are... thanks!

You can drive from LA. It's about a 5 hour drive. You can also choose to fly in which case it is a 45 minute flight. If you plan on driving I would do it before San Francisco. If you are flying then it wouldn't matter.

pretty straight forward drive to las vegas, about 4.5 hours, just aviod rush hour times.

you could also take an internal flight with southwest airlines, its about $60.00 per person for a one way ticket from LA to Las vegas.

check out google maps, it can show you where the places you want to visit are in relation to each other.

It is an easy drive through the desert from Anaheim or Los Angeles. If you are in Anaheim and want to fly also look at Southwest from Santa Ana (John Wayne) airport or jetblue from Long Beach Airport.

As mentioned, driving and or flying from L.A or Anaheim to Las Vegas is easy to do. Just remember that the drive will take around 5 hours and its mostly boring desert scenery; flying will take less than an hour, and lots of good deals around for that too, like with Southwest Airlines or if you want to be flying from a smaller airport, JetBlue out of Long Beach airport. Also, if you dont want to drive but still want to see the drive from LA to Vegas, you can take a Lux Bus America ride from L.A to Anaheim and on to Las Vegas. Again, Google Maps will help pinpoint where each cities are in relation to each other. From Vegas to San Francisco, it's best to fly.

.I be.ieve Las Vegas Airport is international, as you were askng. If you are staying in Anaheim and want to fly to or from Las Vegas Airport then you would use Santa Ana airport not LAX. Using LAX is going out of your way.

If you are coming in January and want to drive get advice first as you go through a pass that is sometimes effected by heavy snowfall at that time.

Las Vegas is NOT an easy drive, it can be hell, especially leaving Las Vegas at peak times. The drive that is normally 4 1/2 to 5 hours can easily become 7 or 8 or more hours.

It is doable. The question is how much time to you have and how much time would you spend there?

You would go to San Francisco after Las Vegas, so you would go LA to Anaheim to Las Vegas to SF. But that is a lot of driving.
