ART or Parking for DIsneyland?

We will be staying at the Comfort Inn Maingate with five of us.

Which is better -- to use the Anaheim Resort Transit or to park at disneyland? The cost will be about the same either way. Is it more convenient to just park? Or is it less walking, etc., to take the transit.

Thanks.

it actually sometimes works out as the art shuttle being less expensive than the art shuttle, as if you go for multiple days it is less expensive for a pass from the art.

its much better imo to just take the art, much less hassle for you, if you park, you have to worry about getting in to park as there are various parking lots and you may have to shuttle into disneyland from pretty far away, then at the end of the day you would have to wait for the tram or shuttle to take you to the parking lot and then wait to get out of the parking lot, ect.

the comfort inn maingate is 1 mile up harbor blvd to the disneyland entrance there so a long walk.

you could stay much closer to the disneyland entrance and easily walk back and forth in a few minutes, here is a map of hotels in the disneyland area, the disneyland main entrance is on harbor blvd where it says east shuttle area

if you will give us your dates, how many beds you will need, and a price per night we may be able to get you something closer to the action.

Thanks for the response. We have already booked the Comfort Inn Maingate. I realize it is not the closest to Disneyland, but we got a very good deal.

since you have decided for sure to stay at the comfort inn, it is farily well rated, and does have an art shuttle stop there

if you decide for some reason you want to drive instead of use the art shuttle,, the easiest would be for you to drive north from your hotel up harbor blvd to the new disneyland toy story parking lot on the east side of the road, pay to park, and take the free disneyland shuttle in from there.

it would even be possible for you to walk from your hotel up harbor blvd to the toy story parking lot, walk in and take the free shuttle from there it would be about a 9 min walk, but that walk can be very long after walking around disneyland all day when walking back to your motel at night.

Anyone know if a taxi might be a reasonable option for 5 people to return to the hotel at night?

returning to which hotel?

i suppose a taxi is an option for some, but it depends on where you are staying, as well as it is somewhat of a walk from the disneyland park entrance to get to the taxi stand which is at the disneyland hotel parking lot..

OK, almost all Disneyland Theme Park Parking lots require you to park the car, and then walk to a shuttle tram stop, and than take the tram to the entrance area.

With the ART, you leave the car at the Hotel, jump on the Shuttle and arrive at the park entrance area. My vote is the ART.
