Best place to view World of Color at DCA?

Have been to DCA and Disneyland many times, but have not been down since World of Color started operating. Any ideas of the best place to view? Or a package to purchase that would give better viewing? Time to start "lining up"? Just any information would be appreciated. Is there anyplace to be able to view while seated?

Thanks in advance... this would be the week of Thanksgiving...

This is debatable.

Fist off, no place to watch the show seating, you will need to stand. (Heck, there is the wheelchair area, but many folks claim about blocked views due to the way the entire area, and the ADA area is designed.

As for getting a "reserved" area, there are three choices, get to the park earlier, and get a ShowPass for the show, basically a FastPass that you get at the Grizzly River Run attraction. This will give you a time and an "area" to watch the show, the area is broken up into multiple colored areas. This is free, but limited in availability, so why the comment about getting the pass early in the day. Also, the best areas are not issued through the machines.

The other two main options are by buying Meal packages. The one most recommended is the "Picnic Meal", which is reasonable priced, and you can eat at your own timing. Currently $16 per person.

The other option is buying a full service meal at Ariel's Grotto, this is expensive, the Dinner is $40 plus tip for an adult.

And the viewing areas are not that much different than the picnic.

So since most folks need to grab a meal, I think the Picnic option is a good "middle of the road" option, not that much more to pay, and you get the meal and a decent area to watch the show.

But a key of any ShowPass area, getting there early, first come, first serve, so if you want to be in the front of the group, you will need to spend the time and effort to wait and relax in the area for awhile to get better viewing.

Hey Darkbeer... you have helped me over the years...glad your stil here..

So the Picnic thing sounds like it would be a good thing..... is the difference between the area the picnic sends you versus getting there early and getting a ShoPass near Grizzly Run, is just that it is a "better" area?

In your opinion or guess, how ealry shoudl you show up in your area before the show starts... is a hour enough, or is ti more like Fantasmic?
