Disneyland in November 2012

Hi, we will be travelling to Disneyland in the first week of Nov 2012 for a stay of 2 week total. Anyone have any advice on what DL is like at that time of year and the weather and also will we still be able to experience the fireworks and parades etc? Thanks so much!

Disneyland is great any time. Weather will be cooler, but you never know if it's going to rain or not. Kids are back in school, but try not to go on a weekend. The lines do move quite quickly ... slower on the popular rides, so we tend to do those first.

The Disneyland website has a calendar with what is happening on each day. Check it out to see how it works.

Anaheim, where Disneyland is, is further south in LA, and you wouldn't want to spend too much time driving everywhere from there.

Are you staying the whole time in the Disneyland area? I suggest about 3 or 4 days, and then transfer to a hotel in Hollywood, ie the Holiday Inn Express on Highland Avenue. It's so central to things in the Hollywood, Beverly Hills area, including Universal Studios.

You could stay there another 4 or 5 days, and may go north to Santa Barbara to finish off your two weeks and relax? Or even to Vegas. The drive from LA to Vegas is about 5 or 6 hours, depending if you stop along the way.

You could fly Vegas to LA late afternoon to connect with your flight back home.

Two weeks in Anaheim is loads Disney only has two parks there, it's not like Disney world in Florida. You could drive to san Diego and stay there fir a few nights, visit sea world and San Diego zoo is a must. Drive the coastal road to the big sur and then onto Monterey where you can go whale watching.

Or fly/ drive to L A six flags magic mountain roller coaster park is on the way, universal studios and Hollywood.

Or fly to San Fran. Or Vegas

The Anaheim/Garden Grove/Buena Park area has a LOT more to offer than "just" Disneyland.

It is one of the major Tourist Destinations in the world, and has a lot to offer!

Lots of things in the area, Museums, Sports Venues, Shopping and Dining, Dinner Shows and lots of public/mass transit.

Here is a good link of things to do in the area...

Many folks spend a two week holiday based in the Anaheim/Disneyland area.

We have been to Disneyland twice in Nov. and have had great weather. We like to finish our time in the area with a visit to one of the beautiful beaches in the area. Laguna Beach is my favorite! :)

We went to DL the first week of November 2011 and loved it! The crowds were minimal and midweek was great! Wednesday thru Friday we had at most 15 minute waits only on the most popular rides. The rest of the rides were 0-5 minute waits and we were in heaven! Friday night got busier and Saturday was pure chaos. The weather overall was nice, slightly chilly at times but then warm when the sun came out. My daughter used the pool a few times and we did enjoy the hot tub as well. It did rain a little during our stay which we had prepared for ... brought rain ponchos, waterproof shoes and umbrellas. No problem! We tried to enjoy shows and indoor rides during the drizzle. During our stay the World of Color show at DCA occurred nightly. The Fantasmic and Fireworks show were only on Fri/Sat nights. I believe the parades were only on Fri/Sat as well. My two cents would be to enjoy the parks midweek and you will have a much less stressful time!
