Late night transfers from LAX

Just checking some flights from Syd to LAX for Oct. Some of the cheapest are through Hawaiin Air. Problem is the flight arrives 10.15pm. Looking at DisneyExpress they stop 10.30pm.

Does that mean you need to book a private shuttle. Would a taxi be Ok late at night with little traffic.

have a look at supper shuttle they have both shared vans and private vans ,

we used the private vans , by supper shuttle , no need to wait around and make other stops dropping off others before your stop , quick easy and reliable

Both Prime Time Shuttle and SuperShuttle are the "official" Shared Vans for LAX, and will pick you up with little wait, no matter the time of day.

Agree, try the shared vans

www.primetimeshuttle.com

www.supershuttle.com

They both charge about the same price as the Disneyland Express bus and they don't stop running late at night. The main disadvantage of the vans is that they can stop along the way to drop off or pick up other passengers - but then the Express Bus might stop at several hotels before dropping you off at yours, so one is unlikely to be much worse than the other.

You can take a taxi that late as well, but I'd not recommend it - the fare is going to be over $100 from LAX to the Disney area as its about a 35 mile drive.

Thanks everyone good to know if we fly the cheaper flights we can transfer to Anaheim. I can only get a week off work, so looking at alternatives for the week, Bali, Hawaii or Disneyland with the 2 teen kids. I know Disneyland will be rushed but it should work out 5 full days at Anaheim including the flights, so we will probably go to Knotts for one day as we did not visit last time we where there.

I think the Halloween decorations will also be up, which woudl be good to see since we do not celebrate in Aus.

In Oct weekday hours are shortened, its likely they would be 10 am till 8pm during the weekdays and 8am till 12 pm on weekends, Fri,Sat, Sun.

Except for on MIckey Halloween Party nights.

Halloweentime usually starts sometime in mid Sept, with MIckey's Halloween Party nights starting in late Sept and going through the end of Oct.

If Disneyland stays to the same pattern as last year, its likely that for 2012, Mickeys Halloween Party nights would be mostly on Tues and Fridays where Disneyland closes to regular guests at 6 or 7pm and you would need to purchase a Mickey's Halloween Party ticket to get into the Park.

There would also be a special Fireworks show on the Party nights.

Here is more info on last years Halloweentime events as well as the Mickey's Halloween Party

wdwinfo.com/Disneyland/Events/Halloween.htm

There would also be some dates you may want to avoid.......

The unofficial "Gay Days" at Disneyland is October 5 - October 7, 2012

Oct 18-21 for 2012, will make those dates busier at Disneyland since the State of Utah School districts have a School holiday in Oct each year, and many people come to Disneyland.

If Disneyland stays to the same pattern they have been its likely that for 2012, Mickeys Halloween Party nights would be mostly on Tues and Fridays where Disneyland closes to regular guests at 6 or 7pm and regular Fireworks as well as Fantasmic would only be on Sat,Sun

Here is more info on last years parties.
