Yes, your best bet is to buy the discounted tickets at Disneyland.com in advance and use the Print at Home option (e-Ticket).

ok ty, and how many days does a family really need to spend at disneyland?

i seen on the forum families buying 10 -14 days passes?

is that a little extreme?

OK, somebody visited the park every day in 2012 (all 365 days), that is a bit extreme.

A typical pass for a tourist is 3 days, some do get 4 or 5 days, especially if they are thinking of taking breaks during the day (very good for little ones).

The special 14 day (soon to be 10) passes are designed for Australian and New Zealanders only, basically a 2 week Season Pass. For folks living in North America, Disney pushes the Deluxe Annual Passport for those who want to make multiple passes.

Also, there are packages available, such as the Southern California CityPASS, which is 3 days at the Disneyland Resort, plus a day at Universal Studios Hollywood and a day at SeaWorld San Diego.

Also somthing to think of is a visit to Knott's Berry Farm, which is only a few miles away from Disneyland (and easy to get to using public transit). Since you are coming next week, you can get in for just $28.99 with a couple of cans of food for charity.

We had our best time when going for 9 days (Park Hopper pass upgraded to an annual pass). We did EVERYTHING (rides, shows, parades, etc) multiple times. If you are going during a busy time of the year, you will need more days to do more (due to increase in attendance). We homeschool, so we go during the off-season when there are less crowds. During the week (Mon-Thurs), most rides are walk-ons. If you go during a major three-day weekend, springbreak or summer, you will need an extra day or two to see and do most of what Disneyland and California Adventure has to offer.

Disneyland.Com is usually the best place for tickets, they have sales every now and again. You should check on the Southern California City Pass to see if that works for your family. Also check with AAA, Costco, Sam's or if you qualify for a firefighter/policeman/military discount.

Enjoy!

The $158 price is for a 2 day 1 park per day ticket for a Child, not an adult.

The adult version is $170. And that is visit only 1 Park per day, no Parkhopping.

You may want to consider a 2 day Parkhopper ticket since the two Parks are located directly across from each other its easy to just hop back and forth to each Park during a day. That way if you happen to like one Park better than the other one, you have much more flexability. The 2 day Parkhopper would be $200 for adults and $188 for children.

Not many discounts are offered for a 2 day ticket, especially the 2 day 1 park per day tickets. You can look at something such as the Mousesavers website which lists current discount on attractions for you ( they dont sell tickets)

mousesavers.com/disneyland-california-vacati…

The Disneyland.com website is also having a special promotion for your time period, but must be purchased online on their website. The are offering a 3 day Disneyland Parkhopper for $220 for adults and $205 for Children.

There is a meet and greet for Princesses all year long at Disneyland.

Disneyland tickets are expensive relative to other attractions. You don't NEED to spend a certain number of days there. You should spend as much money and spend as much time as you WANT to. Millions of visitors to Disneyland have spent only one day there and over the many years that I have been involved with Tripadvisor, no one has reported that they had a bad visit because their Disneyland visit was too short!

If you're asking about discounts for a 2-day pass then you should either buy a 2-day (which is never discounted) or buy a 1-day ticket.

Have a great visit.

Im sure the OP is aware they they can obviously spend as much time or as little time as they want to. Info is given about ticket varieties and average visit times so they can make an informed decision. Not to pressure anyone into something they dont want.

Many people are not really aware of the differences between a 2 day 1 park per day ticket and a 2 day Parkhopper.

I am just wondering, first of all I live in Canada, and they use to sell 7 day parkhopper passes, now I notice that the most we can get is a 5 day, someone said about upgrading for more days, is that possible for us Canadians also?

Thanks for any help you can give me..

Alas, no, you are lumped into North America, so it is a 5 day max, or upgrading to a Annual Pass (either Deluxe or Premium). They think you are close enough to make 2 visits within 12 months.
