What to Pack for Summer

We are planning to visit Aspen this July for the first time. We don't know what to pack. Do we need coats/jackets or are fleeces enough? I'm assuming jeans for daytime activities are okay, but is it too cool to wear sandals? What about clothes for going out to dinner and/or bars at night?

You won't need coats, fleeces and light jackets should be fine. Bring lots of layers to adjust as the temps change. It can be in the 80's during the day, so sandals are fine. Remember, the dry heat is far more comfortable than humidity. At night it will probably cool down to the 60's. Have fun, I love Aspen in the summer, it's fantastic.

Thank you so much. Are jeans okay to wear out at night?

Jeans are okay everywhere, all the time in Aspen!

Daytime temps in July may go up into the low 80's, but more often just the mid-70's. Evening temps can get into the 50's or even 40's. Flash rainstorms in the afternoons are common, but they usually only last an hour or two at most.
