Hopkins Bay Resort

we are concidering staying here in December the week of Christmas. Would it be wrong to assume that the beach is good here and that we would have some choices for resturants and night life?

What would be the best tours to take from this location?

Thank you

The resort has a very nice beach. You won't be disappointed. They have a restaurant on-site and you are just a short stroll up the beach from the very popular Driftwood or Laruni Hati for Belizean and Garifuna food (where the locals go for fish). You can bike to Frog Point, Thongs, Windschief, Iris's or Love on the rocks. All are in the village. If you hire a golf cart or taxi you can visit Chef Rob's or Joe's, just south of the village. Hopkins does not have a disco but you should not miss a drumming performance at Lebeha Drumming Center, located between Driftwood and Laruni Hati. Driftwood has open-mike night on Tuesdays Driftwood, Windschief and Joe's are all very popular spots for socializing and meeting new people.

The best tours to take from there are the scuba/snorkel diving tours to the reef. This is the closest resort area to the reef from the mainland. You are also close to Mayflower park for hiking and zipline and Cockscomb park for hiking. The cave tubing tours are an easy drive up the Hummingbird Highway..
