Belize in 8-9 nights

Looking to travel for 8-9 nights at the end of July with my girlfriend. We're 25 years old and looking to take a last minute vacation. Was planning on heading to Costa Rica but we've already been there a few times. We love Costa Rica because we feel comfortable renting a car and just seeing where we end up each night.

We're looking to go somewhere we can explore and visit 2-3 cities/towns, doesn't have to be my car just easy to get around. Wondering if anyone has any ideas for 8-9 night trips?

Mmm, Cayo or Toledo for mainland. We have Mayan sites and caves with artefacts not found in CR. 2nd largest barrier reef in the world. Grt diving along 190 reef, 3 atolls, many small cayes on the reef and coastal villages 10 and 19 miles from the reef. Look at San Pedro, Hopkins and Placencia. Google Turneffe atoll too

Cayo, Hopkins or Placencia, and one of the cayes, like AC or Caulker. You won't really need a car, plus, they are quite expensive.

If you want Beach, Nature Reserves, Caves, Waterfalls and Mayan Ruins = Split time between Hopkins and San Ignacio. Xunantunich and Cahal Pech are around San Ignacio Town.

If you Snorkel and want Parties, Karaoke and good drinks, it's San Pedro or Caye Caulker.

If you want seclusion and romantic walks on the beach, it's Placencia, Punta Negra or the smaller cayes.

Orange Walk and Toledo are not as popular but there is ALOT to see in those districts as well. These include Lamanai, Honey Camp Lagoon, the Sapodilla Cayes, San Antonio Falls, Rio Blanco Falls, and Lubaantun
