Single male traveler

Hi, my name is Clark, age 58. I hope to travel light to Belize in Jan/2014 and work my way down to Costa Rica and Panama. (time frame one month) My question and hope to this post is to know if this is safe to bounce from town to city as the wind blows and if flights go south to my destinations?

Maybe a travel companion is out there as well?

Yes, it's safe to travel around Belize. Many lower budget use buses and water taxis, but we also have two domestic airlines, Tropic Air and Maya Island Air, that fly to all major towns. Tropic also flies to Guatemala and Honduras.

Here's a site with some good transportation info...

Avianca flies from Belize City and has connections to other Central American countries...
