another snorkeling question

Found a few threads mentioning buoys off the reef to attach kayaks to. We're only looking at lodgings that come with kayak use and are close to town. Are the buoys very common along the island? Just want to be sure that we'll have easy access to reef! Any info greatly appreciated!

Some resorts have buoys or tie up polls at the reef. Some places you just use the kayak rope and tie to your wrist or ankle which ever works better for you.

Always ask the resort you are staying at for their water safety tips and what boat traffic is like in their area and what you need to take note of such as pica pika and jellyfish season.

A life vest or a float belt is a great option when going out in a kayak especially if you are not with a partner. Also makes for very comfortable floating while fish watching.
