New diver

I'm looking for any and all suggestions for dive shops, my BF is a new diver and I want his diving experience in Belize to be a safe one. Thanks!

My husband has done all of his diving on Ambergris with Ecologic Divers.

His favorite dive master is now at Ramon's.

Chuck & Robbie's gets lots of good feedback as well.

Walk down the beach, stop at a few dive shops and see what feels best to him.

Sounds good, my wife will be newly certified for our 2 weeks mid January. Looking forward to Hol Chan, and especially Lighthouse and Turneffe Atoll. Will do Blue Hole just for the experience!

Plan to use Chuck and Robbie's close to San Pedro

I've used Amigos Del Mar over the years, but noticed last winter when I was there that they are 'big time' now and not the friendly outfit I used to know. Rene and Tony for local trips are fabulous however. I've heard very good things about Chuck & Robbie's, and had some favorable experiences with them last time I was there (but unfortunately did not get a dive in with them) and will definitely use them next time I'm in SP.

Another vote for Chuck and Robbie's, have a friend who lives here and that is the only dive shop she uses.

I don't think a newly certified diver should dive the blue hole. It is too deep of a dive.

Agreed, I'll dive the Blue Hole since I have the experience. My wife will be snorkeling.
