2 nights on Ambergris, where to stay, centrally located?

Hello, we will be arriving via water taxi from CC and would love to stay at a nice newer comfy place centrally located close to bars, cafes, restos) that wont cost us $300 a night...just want to check out Ambergris as I have never been...leaving early am to belize city on 3rd day... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

We spent a couple nights at Sunbreeze Suites this past November. Northern part of town and pretty comfortable.

I don't know what Ramon's charges, but, it's a pretty resort on the south side of town.

Also, look at Blue Tang. Cheaper would be Conch Shell or Ruby's.

There are others, but, I think you're going to run into three night minimums in some places.

You could try Mayan Princess too.

When are you going? We have a house rented on the beach, about 3 miles from downtown, and we will have an extra room. MAYBE (if you aren't a criminal, murderer or freak-show), we can put your party up at our house for a couple of nights for a good price (much less than $300 a night).

On Ambergris, three miles from town really isn't centrally located......
