Traveling to/from resort

We will be staying at La Perla Del Caribe soon and I'm not sure which would be better and more cost efficient. To rent a golf cart or just take the water taxi to/from town? Is it safe to travel at night on golf cart? Thanks

6 miles north is too far for golf carts. the gc's wouldnt be safe after dark because of the darkness. you are in water taxi country.

It would be a long, bumpy, maybe muddy ride on a golf cart. Definitely water taxi......

Last couple of times I have been across the bridge the roads were surprisingly decent. That being said The two above are right water taxi still likely a better bet.

If you decide to try a cart for a few days check with La Perla as they will be able to help you on which cart company will rent that far north as many have different cut off points as to how far north they will rent.
