Electricity

Can I use my standard US chargers and plugs? Or do I need to convert to a different voltage?

thanks

Standard North American outlets...110 volt power...no need for converters or adaptors.

Every once in awhile we stay somewhere that has 2-prong plugins; if you have any 3-prong appliances, consider taking a 3-to-2 prong adapter, available at anyplace that sells electrical hardware for a buck or 2.

If you plan to bring laptops I recommend not leaving them plugged in without a surge protector if you are out and about. Not that it has been much of an issue lately but after 7.5 years of living here and experiencing more frequent power outs when we were new I learned not to take that for granted.
