Which to choose

Sorry I just have one more question I'm torn between Xanadu Island Resort and Portofino anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

I've never seen Portofino, except from a boat. It's several miles away from town, you'd need to use water taxis if you plan on being in town much. That said it sounds like a lovely property, if you plan on spending most of your time on site relaxing.

If you plan on evenings in town, eating/drinking/dancing, I think you'll be happier at Xanadu. Easy walk along the beach into town (during daylight). Short cab ride home if you're out late. Not sure when you're traveling, but, it has one of the few heated pools on the island, which is nice in the winter months.

In the end, it sort of depends on type of vacation you're looking for.

Both very good and different options. Xanadu closer to town and is a condo hotel without a restaurant/bar on premises, but many in walking distance. Portofino is a more upscale boutique inn 6 miles north of town and still in walking distance to other restaurants and bars, but further from human traffic, more laid back.
