Sand Worms??

We are planning a trip to Ambergris Caye in June. My aunt was telling me that 2 of her friends went and they got the worms in their feet. They couldn't be seen so they has no way of knowing that they burrowed into her feet. One of her friends didn't even know it had happened until she was having problems with her tendons in her feet. Is this a problem on the island? or have you heard of anything like this happening there?

I've never heard of anything like this. Just called my doc who hasn't either.

Cutaneous Larva Migrans

It's also found in other tropical areas (including Texas)
