Soy, almond our coconut milks

I'm a vegetarian, how hard will it be to eat in Cay Caulker. Are most of the rice and beans cooked with animal fat or meat? Is vegan milk easily available? Any other tips for vegan/vegetarian? Thanks

If cooked the traditional way, Rice and beans are cooked in coconut milk. That is not to say that meat may not have been used when cooking the beans to add flavour. Today's beans in the rice and beans is usually yesterday's stewed beans in the stew beans and rice, so you can ask how the stew beans are cooked

You can get soy milk products in any grocery, usually in tetra packs.
