Belize City area hotel for two nights

Flying down in July - 3 Young adults and 2 older adults

We are looking at spending two nights in Belize "city area" because we would like to see the Lamanai Ruins.

After this we are flying to Hatchet Caye.

Can anyone suggest a safe nice place to stay at? Looks like most hotels in Belize City do not have a beach area. And I do not want to fly anywhere else since we will pretty much land, spend the night, next day at the ruins and then fly to Hatchet the next day.

Also, can anyone recommend a good tour group to do this Mayan tour with? Husband is disabled and can only walk short distances, and I was told that this would be the best ruin for him to see.

Anyone know anything about Phils tours?

Thanks for your help/suggestions!

Spend two nights at Lamanai Outpost lodge, next to the site. Or Black Orchid Lodge on the Belize River north of the Intl airport. Or in Crooked Tree. Altun Ha is smaller, less walking and flatter ground, if this is a concern

Lamanai Outpost Lodge for sure! It's amazing there, and there's so much to do. It's literally right next to Lamanai too.
