How long is the JP float and how long is the CB float?

Is it the same zip line too?

I too am debating between the two resorts. Caves branches seems to be more immersed in the jungle. Do either have pools?

Pros and cons to both???

JP has a pool and rooms with ac. New tree house cabanas at CB are really nice. Two very different, but good, places to stay.

I stayed at CB last March. Amazing resort - awesome food. LOVED the outdoor bucket showers :)

I would skip the river tubing. It's long, slow, and you get rubber burn on your arms.

My suggestion would be zip line and repelling. You HAVE to be fairly fit to repel but it is SOOOOO worth it!!

Bring bug spray.

Caves Branch does not have a pool. But we loved it anyway. The kids played in the river.

The Cave Tubing/Zip Line tour is 7 miles of tubing. We did not do it. We instead did the River Cave Expedition which is a short tubing into a cave, and then hiking around in the cave. The cave has Mayan sculptures, pottery fragments, and firepits. Very cool! Our guide was wonderful.

I can't compare to JP but I'd stay at Caves Branch again in a heartbeat.

I agree with ak335 and JoKnits. The long cave tubing trip at CB is a little boring. It a good 2 hours of paddling. The shorter one with the Mayan cave, or the JP would be better.

Or, you can bag the tubing altogether and do something else like just the zip line, black hole or ATM.
