Maya Mountain Lodge vs. Midas Resort??

After hours (days or week actually) of reviewing hotels in San Ignacio area, I have decided on either Maya Mountain Lodge or Midas Resort. We are coming in May for our honeymoon and staying in the region for 6 nights, and planning on doing a lot of tours so we ultimately decided to go with a place close to town. We also want an affordable place, since we will be spending a lot on tours. One advantage of Midas is that we can easily walk to town , so booking tours should be very easy (also nice to be able to walk in for dinner and not be restricted to only eating on site)! But Maya Mountain has pretty good prices on the tours they offer (comparable to prices posted on Pacz for their tours), so it should be very easy to do tours from their too. I was leaning toward Midas Resort but the reviews for Maya Mountain are slightly better (they are both $99). Anyone have any thoughts or ideas about how to decide? Any advantages of one vs. the other?

Maya Mountain Lodge is now managed by Cayo Adventure Tours. It is located just outside of Santa Elena. I would believe Maya Mountain would have more ambiance than Midas, and from what I can see in passing by looks like the new management are fixing things up.

MML has more ambiance, and Midas is closer to downtown(just a 5 minute walk to the market and downtown).
