Location of accommodations

We stayed at Green Parrot many years ago. We had a good experience, although you couldn't walk anywhere else for food/beverages. We did take a taxi a couple of times into Placencia. We prefer to stay somewhere quiet & on the beach & ideally walk for meals, however, taxis would be find too. How about Singing Sands Inn location? It looks beautiful & has availability. What general area is it in & how walkable is the beach?

Singing Sands is a fun little resort in the Maya Beach area, beautiful beach and aprox 1 mile south of Green Parrot so you will also need taxi/golf cart to get to the Village

I always recommend Tradewinds because it's in Placencia proper, but it's at the very bottom of the peninsula, so it feels a little more remote, while being right there. It's quaint, but having a hammock on the veranda, and them being right there on the water are nice.

If you stayed at the Green Parrot again, you could always walk to Maya Beach, and get some food...

Thank you. I've got an inquiry into Tradewinds. Any others recommended? Can you get to anywhere on foot from Singing Sands or would it all be via taxi or cart? And how about the beach in that area - is there long sections that you can walk

At Tradewinds (or at other places on the peninsula) can you walk for a while on the beach? And is the beach real swimmable & have a clear / Caribbean feel to it? If we want that, is there a certain area we should try to stay?

From Tradewinds you can walk a long long way up the beach and back. It's swimmable if you go out a bit. Not really as clear as the Caribbean. Great for relaxing.

Sing Sands and Green Parrot are in Maya Beach, you could look at Placencia. Com it has map where things are, Millers Landing is close to other restaurants to walk,
