Staying on the southern tip

We are looking at renting a condo on the southern tip of the peninsula. Not sure of the exact name. Looks beautiful surrounded by water but are we able to walk to restaurants and bars? What do taxi's cost in that area approximately?

Thank you!

Sunset Pointe maybe?

Its an easy walk into the village (15 minutes?) or short cut over to Paradise Hotel or Yolis...follow the sign for Paradise Hotel down a trail to the right.

Taxis are inexpensive, but don't frequent the road down to Sunset Pointe. Get phone numbers from a couple in the village and call when you need them. Or, rent a golf cart for your stay.

Not sure exactly where you're speaking of when you say "southern tip", but I have friends that have an amazing place (2 BR, 2 BA) house in Placencia that they rent on VRBO. Has a pool and from the pool, a few (literally) steps and you are on the beach. We went last year and are going again July 4th for a week. If you are interested http://www.vrbo.com/286327. Check it out, best vacation I've ever had!

The link didn't resolve, and I couldn't find any VRBO properties with a number like that.

Oh, well.

Take the period (.) off the end of the link and it works just fine.

babsrn1965, Angels landing is no where near the southern tip, guess I'd question whether or not you've ever stayed there.

I have stayed in the house, and would not give it the high praise that you did.

All these first time posts makes my mind think of Crystal Auto.

Chica, did you ever find the answer to your question?

Sunset Pointe is right on the S end...any further S and you get wet.

Yes, most of the carts will seat 4 (front and rear seats). Dont know rates.

Paradise Hotel (near S end, but on the harbour side) has carts on site.
