Trip Planning

We are thinking of going to Costa Rica and the preferred date would be to arrive around Nov. 17. Some places we are interested in are Monteverde, Manuel Antonio, Arenal, La Paz Waterfalls and butterfly farm. We don't want to drive so we would want an escorted tour. I have some questions.

1 - Can you recommend travel agents that are experts in Costa Rica?

2 - Of the attractions I mentioned, which do you consider must see and are there any must see attractions I didn't list?

3 - What escorted tours are you aware of that might be suitable.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks so much.

Those places are all easy to get to via Interbus or private x-fer. I wouldn't resort to an escorted tour if not wanting to drive is the only issue. You will have more flexibility and pay less if you plan it yourself. That said, what type of accomodations are you looking for (budget, moderate, lux, "authentic", quaint) and what are your main interests (wildlife, hiking, beach, birding, adrenaline)? You didn't mention Arenal, which is kind of a must go in my book. There's a lot to see and do there.

My main interests are easy to moderate hiking with nice scenery.

Wildlife is also of interest and moderate accomodations are fine
