Drive time from Alajuela to Poas and La Paz Waterfall

If we arrive SJO around 9:00 am and then transfer to our Alajuela hotel (considering Orquideas Inn or Buena Vista) how long would it take from the hotel to drive to Poas Volcano and then La Paz Waterfall Gardens? Considering having a rental car waiting for us at the hotel. Would traffic be an issue (on a Monday) at this time? Is it a fairly easy drive or is it one of those "get a GPS" type of drives? Thanks.

The drive is very easy, it will take around 30 minutes to the volcano if you go slow enjoying the scenery and some traffic, from the volcano to the waterfalls is about 20 minutes more. There is one road , very easy to get. NATUREGUIDE
