Would you go in Oct or Nov.??

Ok we never got to go earlier in the yr and now we are starting our search again. So just a few?s for now!

1. Would you go in Oct or Nov. weather wise?

I have found prices on Latin Destinations for those months around $1000 apiece?

2. Or should I just pay the $1300 or so and go in Jan. or Feb.?

3. These prices include Air into SJ and out of Lib. all trans between hotels/airports staying in Sj for 1 nite at the Corteza Amarilla, 3nite in Arenal at Magic mountain hotel, then 4nite at the Flamigo or Tamarindo Diria. Does this sound like a good price?

4. Has anyone stayed at these hotels and if so are they worth staying at?

5. Are the hotels in Tamarindo within walking distance to town?

I think thats it for now.

Thanks for all your help, Tim

Thank you for such a nice post!

1- Even that is the peak of the rainy season is nice...everything is green...buterflies all over...and SUMMER at the Caribbean side of our country...

2- For green season is a kind of high price you can do a lot better than that...why pay more for the same?

3- Well if that includes air is a good deal..

4- OK hotels...Magic Mountain is nice...as well as the good location that Diria has to offer!

5- Diria is right downtown...just 50 meters from the Tamarindo Circle and beach front...it is a Tamarindo landmark!

You are more than WELCOME...TIM!

When people say the rainy season how much rain are we talking? A few hrs a day or rain all day? Funny I know but does the sun come out?

Thanks Tim

Here is a link to a annual rain chart:

http://tamarindocosta-rica.com/weather.html

Usually, I'd say it hardly ever rains all day. These last two weeks it has rained almost all day. The forecasts call for a wetter than normal season. I'd come in November for the weather, in October for less people.

Will it rain all day? Usually, in October, we'll have two-weeks of lite sprinkles that sometimes last all day. This year feels like more.
