After visiting Tamarindo

My husband and I hope to spend a week at the el sabareno eco

lodge in Tamarindo in February. We picked it out because it has wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor !

Where would be a good place or places to visit when we

leave there. We have another week. We will be flying into and out of Liberia.

Myabe...Rincon de la Vieja Volcano for a couple nights...for one day drives...Palo Verde...Santa Rosa National Park...

You can drive to many places and save money...you really do not need any middle person... some expats around that are not very good news...be extra carefull who you dealt with!

You can check travel times on www.yourtravelmap.com. I'd estimate about 4.5-5 hours from Tamarindo to either Monteverde or Arenal

Just to be clear - El Sabanero is not actually in Tamarindo. Check the map and the driving directions and you will see it's about 7-8 km from Tamarindo and will need a vehicle of some sort for transport to the town of Tamarindo and the beach.

However, in figuring travel time from point to point, you can just use Tamarindo.

Unless you intend to drive to the beach every day, you might want to consider moving to a beach location before heading to either Arenal or Monteverde. Depends really on your love/need for beach time.

Hattie is right. A visit there is not a visit to Tamarindo. Nice place though...
