Liberia car rental timing issues

We arrive in Liberia Saturday July 7 at 7:45 pm.and wish to rent a vehicle at or near the airport. Are there any places open at that time or would you reccommend staying the night in a nearby hotel and picking up the vehicle the next morning? (we plan on going to the Canyon de la Viejo lodge which is close by the airport so we wouldn't have far to drive that night)

Also, we plan to have our rental car picked up at the Condovac La Costa hotel at Playa Hermosa on July 23 so that we can take a taxi to the Liberia airport July 25 for a departure from the airport at 7:00 am.This would involve getting a taxi at about 5:00 am. Is this feasible?

Which car rental companies that are recommended would be able to do this?Thankyou.

I would pick up up the car rental and go to the hotel you have planned and would not spend my first night in Liberia. Check with Adobe or Alamo rent a car

The best you can do...is take a taxi to a near by hotel ....and next morning get the car...in that way you can relax and sleep that night...

The Hilton by the Airport is a great place with some great fares...nad in Town you can try El Sitio Hotel...Bramadero Hotel...Las Espuelas...all of them about 8 minutes drive from the airport Daniel Aduber Quiros...

Good companies to dealt with...Toyota...National...Adobe....Budget...Avis...Hertz...

You can even ask any one of them if they ca wait for you ...and get the car at arrival...but be carefull please about driving at night..!

Just Buckle up and enjoy the ride in PARADISE!

Thanks for your responses. I will try those companies you have suggested.

How about our return flight? Is it feasible for us to get a taxi at 5:00 in the morning from the Condovac La Costa in playa Hermosa to the airport? If so, what would the approximate cost be?

And Roadadvisor, I most definitely plan on buckling up and thoroughly enjoying the ride in PARADISE!

Yes, no poblem getting a taxi at 5pm have your hotel help you with it. It would cost $40 to $50

What I would suggest is that rather than dropping the car at the Condovac, you should consider spending the night before departure at a hotel near the airport (like the Hilton). When you factor in the dropoff fee for the one-way rental (usually around $50) plus the charge for the taxi (around $50 or $60), the net cost is minimal. You don't have to worry about the taxi being a no-show at 5 A.M. (if you can even get one), you can sleep in later, and the Hilton shuttles you to the airport.

You should contact one of the car rental and let them know that you are coming at 7:45 in and they should be waiting for you at the airport, so you could go straight to your beach hotel.

Condovac is only 20 minutes from the airport, so you could drive at night. It is not a difficult drive.

For the last night, you can turn the car inn the previous night and use the hotel right in front of the airport, the garden inn.
