Our first trip to Costa Rica ., so many questions !

My husband and I will be traveling to CR for the first time either mid November . We love the country/nature and wildlife . As I have been reading a few threads it seems Monteverde is a must . We expect to stay 6 possibly 7 nights , arriving around 9:30 pm on a Wed. And returning the following Tues . Or Wed . I'm thinking we should spend the first night in SJ . Then leave to our next destination the following morning . Where should we head first ? Towards Arenal or staright to Monteverde? How much can we see and where should we go within our time frame ? Any suggestions where to stay would be very helpful . Thanks in advance !

6 days.....

2 days in Monteverde and 4 days on the beach

fly in/out Liberia (LIR) and save some driving time.

maybe consider a day in Rincon de la Vieja Volcano as you drive out of Monteverde and before your beach days.

Maybe Playa Hermosa , close to the airport, close to Coco.
