Costa Rica in late September/October (Earthquake damage?)

Hi All,

Plan on doing a last minute trip to Costa rica next week (Sept 24th to Oct. 3rd) plan on flying in to San Jose, then to Volcan Arenal for a few days, then on to Monteverde for a few days, then I need a great beach location, any recommendations? Before i head back to san jose and fly out.. Will there be less to do/transportation in between cities with it being rainy and "low season?" thanks

Since September and October are generally much better (weather wise) on the Caribbean side you may want to concentrate on that part of the country. A good source is www.puertoviejosatellite.com

All activities are working and so is transportation. You can do the rafting on the Pacuare river with ongoing transportation to Puerto Viejo: www.exploradoresoutdoors.com/

Weather almost all over the country mostly at the dry side...we are already about 50% less than most rainy seasons...

Nice for your itinerary...Manuel Antonio National Park..

Nice popular kind of circel...SJO...Arenal...Monteverde...Manuel Antonio ...SJO

You ca do it by shuttle shared buses and set up schedules, renting a car or hire a private driver!

Best weather of the year on the Caribbean side, about 6 hours from Arenal. the beaches on the Caribbean side are spectacular, and this time of the years is like a big warm lake, lots to do and see to keep you busy!
