10 day itinerary recommendations

My husband and I are in our early 30s, and we are planning a trip to Costa Rica in early April for 10 days. We fly into and out of Liberia. We like being active (although we are by no means athletic), but we wouldn't mind spending just a few days at a beach too. We realize that we can't do everything, so we would love some suggestions/recommendations so that we can start making plans!

Jose B, in your second sentence, do you mean 5 days in monteverde, or was one of those supposed to say Rincon de la Vieja?

IMO hit Arenal for 3 nights, Monteverde for 2 nights, and then finish back at the beach so you are close to the airport on departure. Beaches like Flamingo, Tamarindo, Conchal, Sugar Beach, are all a good choice. More will chime in soon.
