november vs february in papagayo and monteverde

Thinking of planning a trip to the Papagayo region. Might also like to add in a trip to Monteverde. We could probably go in November or February, would you recommend one month over the other? If so, why? Thanks so much!

For Papagayo - probably doesn't matter but it will be a bit cooler in November. (Usually very hot.)

For Monteverde, definitely February would be better since November would be very wet.

You can look here for typical rainfall patterns: www.costa-rica-guide.com Check the weather section.

February for Monteverde is good quetzal-sighting--we saw 7 in one hike in February 2008.
