Manuel Antonio to Punta Islita

I am looking for any suggestions about the best way to get from Manuel Antonio to Punta Islita. Should we consider the ferry or just drive the entire route? What is the true drive time? I have seen anywhere from 4hrs to 6.5hrs. We will be there in July.

Thanks for the input!

No, the ferry is not the best way to go.

You can go Rt 27 to Rt 1 and then north to Limonal where you turn to go to Nicoya. Through Nicoya and on to Samara and to Punta Islita from there.

It's almost six hours, so get an early start.
