Im leaving for a humanitarian trip to Costa Rica with my school in a couple of days and i want to make sure that im not forgeting anything important. What are some must have items to bring on my trip? And also, what is some important information to know? Thanks

The only must have items to bring with you are those that only you personally knows about (medicine, etc). All other stuff can be bought locally if needed.

Important info, they are many, and they are different for different type of visitors. Some useful tips: make a copy of your passport (main page only). Leave home all valuables that you do not wish to "be lost". Carry only a daily amount of cash with you (use ATM to replenish). US$ are widely accepted, your change will be given back in colones. Learn at least a couple of Spanish words (if not already), with them and a smile you will meet only friendly and helpful Ticos.
