Livingston ferries to belize

Hi,

I would like to rent a car in guatemala city, drive all the way to livingston and take a ferry either in livingston or in puerto barrios to punta gorda (belize). Does anyone know if thats possible?

Thank you for your help,

No, not with a car. You're not always allowed to cross borders with rental cars anyway and I don't think the water taxis have space for cars.

No roads to Livingston, but you could drive to Barrios and take a launcha from there to PG direct, or to Livinston and then to PG from there.

Alternatively, you could drive to Fronteras (Rio Dulce) and take a launcha from there to Livingston.

Also, there are no "ferries" that transport cars on this route...just "launchas" (open skiffs of about 25' which transport people and baggage only).
