So...if you were booking a cruise for one day in Roatan...

...and the choices are mid February or mid March (there's also one in April for $200 more), which would you choose (for the likelyhood of better weather)? We are considering a snorkel tour that day. Thanks for your responses!

The farther away from rainy season you get the better the visibility is going to be. This be no means is an absolute. :)

I was on the island for most of March this year and the snorkeling visibility was down from past years. I was in West Bay, off off West End and in Sandy Bay.

Yup... all depends on rain and wind... visibility varied a lot day by day, but was actually better mid Feb. this year than mid March... and I'd say was the reverse in 2010.

I think the odds are for slightly more chance of rain in mid-Feb than mid-March, but I might be all wet ;-)
