Family of 4 late May travel ?

We are a family of 4 looking to travel in late May for a first time visit to Roatan. My questions are : for two young adults age 22 and 24 what would be the best area to stay with them so there is a bit of night life? Also, average weather that time of year? We are looking into a condo or home rental as I think that would be a better way to spend the week in terms of space and meal cost, etc. any ideas would be great! Thank you in advance for your help 😄

May is the best month in Roatan for weather and for crowds. The season is over until sumer and the weather is generally dry. For young unattached folks no question that West End is the best. If you stay somewhere else, they will quickly discover West End and will be spending all their time there anyway, whether they are divers or not. Be aware that "night life" means evening life, since places tend to close around 10 or so. The bar scene between sunset and closing time is vibrant.

Since diving is such a big deal in Roatan and especially in West End, where a large number of young folks are either in dive training or dive master training, they may enjoy joining the crowd to learn to dive while they are there.
