Sweet Bread

We are planning for our upcoming trip (staying at the Mauna Lani). We love having sweet bread in the room for breakfast, snacks, you name it.

Where is the best place to find sweet bread? We were in Maui last year and were able to purchase regular and cinnamon varieties. Hopefully we can find the same on the Big Island. We are planning on stopping at Costco, but were unsure if they sold it. Local vendors would be great as well.

Your input is greatly appreciated!

Punalu'u Sweetbread is made at their bakery in Naalehu, but you can buy all their varieties at Walmart* and it even costs less than at the bakery!

It's more like where don't they sell it ...

If you want the closest (vs. the Walmart price), then Foodland Farms at Mauna Lani, also Waikoloa Market, Foodland in Waimea, KTA in Waimea, anywhere in Hilo.

Hilo Cost U Less has a whole rack for the Punalu'u products. I go to the Cost U Less for the bread. (Next to the bowling alley on Kino'ole Street).

There is Regular, Taro, and Guava. All great. I like the Punaluu the best.

There are two more even (looked at them at Walmart today) -- cinnamon raisin and mango guava, and it comes in rolls or a loaf.
