Everything is now booked!!!
I land in Kona at 11pm on Friday May 31st. That will be 2am our time and I'll be working that day before I leave. Yikes! I really dislike driving at night but I've heard the drive to Mauna Lani Golf Villas is easy.
I will be solo for a week, and plan to do the stuff that my dh and ds are not interested in like:
Waimea farmer's market Saturday morning after I land. Looking for fruit, vegetables, herbs, eggs, perhaps cheese. I can't eat baked goods so that's not important. I would like to stop at Big Island Brewhaus for lunch afterward and they open at 11am. Which farmer's market should I go to?
Also looking for island grown beef and fresh fish. Is Foodland the best place to get that?
Manta Ray night snorkel. I looked into the tour with Jack's and the website says at least 2 people required to book. I'll phone them and see if just I can go. Probably do that on Monday night.
Horseback ride into Waipo'o (sp?). Is morning the best?
I can't find my Island of Hawaii tour book-I probably lent it to someone and forget who, but it was old anyway. I need to order another one so I can figure out the names of beaches and where they're located. Does anyone have a favorite?
I don't like to drive long distances so I might do a helicopter tour to see the East side. Anyone have a recommendation for that?
I'll be picking up dh and ds a week after I land (again late on a Friday night) we'll be spending 2 more nights at the condo and then 5 nights at FS Hualalai. I doubt if we'll venture off the resort once we get there.
So excited! Thank you for all of your help on this forum to figure out our 20th anniversary trip!Edited: 09 February 2013, 21:36
