Whales

Planning a visit in November for our anniversary. Am I correct in knowing that we would have a better chance of seeing whales if we wait until January or Feb.

Thanks

Although whale's may show up in late November, early December is the "official" start of whale season in Hawaii. Jan. or Feb. would be much better for viewing them and you won't have any trouble finding any. The waters will be full of them by then.

That's what I thought you'd say! . So my next assumption is,,, the cost of lodging and travel might be a bit higher at that time as well.

Thanks

The Big Island doesn't really get any noticeable price increases during whale season, unlike Maui.
