Motion sickness

I am prone to motion sickness. What are the chances of feeling sick while on a helicopter ride?

If you are like me, if you don't take something like dramamine or bonine, that chances are 100%.

There is much on motion sickness in the search box. Here is one:

I would suggest medications, as well, or book the more stable, larger helicopter's or Wings Over Kauai.

We were just up with Wings Over Kauai and it was like driving down the road. All in all it was quite a smooth ride.

Bruce even carries ginger candy on the plaane for those who might get a bit queasy.

If have a tendacy to motion sickness, I personally would recommend the small airplane over a helicopter. I have done both and I get very sick on the helicopter. I've tried Dramamine and Bonine but it makes me feel groggy the rest of the day. The helicopter tends to make a lot of unexpected turns and elevation changes. A small airplane cannot make those weird changes and you can still see the views.

I also get motion sickness - while everyone else is enjoying a smooth sail I am throwing up over the side. I contacted my doctor and got a prescription for a sea sickness "patch" - the package says: transderm-scop 1.5 mg/72 hr. You apply one patch behind your ear every 3 days. Its a miracle!!! I can snorkle and be on the ocean with no problem - actually ate lunch on a boat off of Maui last year - I always wear these on vacation.

Hope this helps - its made a world of difference for me!
